Make sure you have no past due balances with our 3 carriers, even any amount in collections.
For AT&T, bringing over a phone number can reduce your down payment or require nothing down at all!
For T-Mobile, money down is almost always required for new accounts, so that means at the pricing listed, it's a near guarenteed approval.
Make sure you have an up to date ID once you're in-store, this will help prevent additonal verification & being denied on any of our 3 carriers.
AT&T, Verizon, & T-Mobile all have a unique operation process which is essentially a "standing" with your carrier account. This allows you for better finance options, such as $0 down on your next cell phone. Carrier standing works independently from credit, and can increase or decrease by the following factors:
If your bill is paid on time or early.
What you're currently financing (if any).
How many lines of service you currently have.
How long you've been with your carrier.
AT&T - Typically 3mo* of on-time payments.
Verizon - Typically 3mo* of on-time payments.
T-Mobile - Typically 6mo* of on-time payments.
While we don't do contracts with our carriers, the only obligation they have is to make sure the phone you purchase is paid off, which can be done monthly or in full at anytime. Other than that, you can cancel anytime!
We don't check credit, however, our applications are considered a soft inquery, meaning the carriers will check for past due carrier balances & form their own type of credit, which can go up based on if your monthly bill is paid on time, if you pay off your phones, and how long you have service with your carrier. This works independently from your actual credit score.
