Yes you can! AT&T offers waived activation fees with the condition of autopay being setup. It's as easy as waiving it through the app! Here are the steps:
Open the myAT&T app available on Google Play or the iOS App Store.
Register or login to the myAT&T app.
Tap "See bill overview"
Scroll down & find the activation fee on your bill.
Tap "Don't recognize this fee?"
You'll see a prompt titled "About this fee", tap "Continue"
You may need to select a reason for waiving this fee, I recommend tapping "I was told I wouldn't be charged a fee."
Tap "Continue"
There you go! AT&T should have waived your acivation fee, if it didn't immediately take affect, please wait 1-2 billing cycles for the credit to be applied.

Verizon currently does not offer a way to waive your activation fee through the myVerizon app. However, waiving your activation fee could still be possible with a phone call to Verizon loyalty. Simply call 800-837-4966, follow the automated prompts, & ask for "loyalty team".
Good news! When cell phones are purchased through T-Mobile, exclusively with Walmart Wireless, an activation fee will NOT be charged. So there's no need to waive an activation fee.
No, your carrier bill should not go up over time. Your bill will only increase for the following reasons:
A new service line is added.
A tax change, such as the AL 911 fee or federal tax. This affects everyone on all carriers, prepaid & postpaid.
Your plan is changed, this can cause partial-month charges & a higher monthly cost depending on what your plan was changed to.
Your bill is late, this can cause a small late fee depending on your carrier.
Autopay was not setup or turned off. This can cause a $5 or $10/mo increase per service line.
If your bill is higher than usual or went higher not caused by any of the 5 reasons. Please contact me for assistance on lowering your bill. 938-228-5100

Nope! In terms of being locked in for a fixed amount of time, not at all. The only aspect that would make our 3 carriers contractually obligate you into staying is if you decide to finance a device. Which you can still payoff devices at anytime. The only thing our carriers look for is to make sure your device(s) are paid off. Aside from that, it's cancel anytime! Our prices are also lower than the carriers directly & easier to payoff!
A BIC Promotion stands for bill credit promotion. Which is something AT&T, Verizon, & T-Mobile can offer. Depending on your type of promotion, your carrier can charge you the standard monthly price for service/device installment, then apply a partial or full credit for the monthly cost of your device/service. See an example below:
Since my S24 Ultra is $31.92/mo before any promotions, that's the price seen on my carrier bill. Because of my BIC promotion that required a trade-in, my carrier credits me back $27.78/mo. Making my out of pocket cost only $4.14/mo for my S24 Ultra! BIC promotional credits don't always require a trade-in, and can also take 1-3 billing cycles to apply. This discount is also done over 24mo or 36mo depending on your carrier to ensure savings for long-time customers. Feel free to view promotional offers here.
